Job summary

Somerset Care Group is seeking a Team Manager for our Somerset Community Services. You will lead a dedicated Exeter team, coordinate with wider Somerset and Devon teams, and ensure high-quality home care provision.

The role requires passion for making a difference, Level 3 in Care or equivalent, and proven leadership in health and social care settings. A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are expected.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in health and social care settings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Understanding of general business procedures and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, develop and review the team of carers to build skills and knowledge.
• Support Exeter team while assisting wider teams across Somerset and Devon during leave periods.
• Monitor performance and service delivery; respond to emergencies and complaints.
• Ensure effective communication with staff, customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager to promote and grow the service.
• Work with recruitment to onboard new staff and maintain staffing levels.
• Respond to referrals within 24 hours and provide visits and information to customers.
• Conduct quality monitoring visits and update the Registered Manager.
