Job summary

Ashberry Healthcare Limited is seeking a compassionate Team Leader (Care) for Brockworth House Nursing Home in Brockworth, Gloucester. This hands-on role combines direct care with shift leadership to ensure high standards of person-centred care.

You will lead care staff on shift, oversee care plans, promote dignity and wellbeing, assist with medication MAR charts, complete handovers, and uphold safeguarding and CQC requirements. DBS checks apply; part-time and full-time positions available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred.
• Experience in a care setting, ideally as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader.
• Confident, calm, and supportive leadership style.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff on shift and act as senior point of contact.
• Deliver and oversee care in line with individual care plans.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
• Assist with clinical tasks and medication administration in line with MAR charts and protocols.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and escalate concerns.
• Complete clear handovers and maintain accurate care documentation.
• Ensure care delivery meets safeguarding, infection control, and CQC requirements.
• Support new starters and promote Ashberry values of Compassion, Integrity, and Loyalty.
