Care Team Leader - Jesmond Care Home

We are looking for an experienced Care Team Leader to join our team in Jesmond Care Home, working 33 hours per week on night shifts.

Our care team is dedicated to resident engagement, quality care, and lifestyle opportunities—ensuring the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of our residents. The Care Team Leader will promote and encourage the care team to create meaningful daily interactions, helping residents live with purpose and connection.

The role involves creating and updating personalised Care Plans that reflect residents' individual needs and preferences, aligning with our Inclusion Charter values to keep residents at the heart of their care.

As a Care Team Leader, you will uphold care standards and lead by example. Key responsibilities include promoting compassionate care within a friendly environment, inducting new staff, supervising the care team, conducting training, and supporting junior team members to deliver high-quality, personalised care.

Requirements
  • Minimum SVQ 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
  • Medication administration training (preferred)
  • At least one year's experience in a similar care role
  • Knowledge of and adherence to the SSSC Codes of Practice
  • Registration with the SSSC (preferable)
