Job summary

Minerva is seeking a dedicated Care Team Leader to oversee an elderly supported living service. You will guide the care team, ensure high standards of person-centred care, and maintain safety compliance while supporting residents and families.

The role involves hands-on leadership, rota management, supervision, and participation in on-call duties to respond to unexpected staff absences and hospital discharges.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering care in adult social care settings and supervising teams.
• Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Adult Care or equivalent; enhanced DBS.
• Ability to coordinate and lead a care team with strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to Care and Support Workers.
• Coordinate and monitor staff rotas to maintain safe staffing levels.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and daily records are accurate and person-centred.
• Support induction, supervision, appraisal and staff development.
• Lead handovers, team briefings and competency assessments.
