Lifeways is looking for a Care Team Leader to work alongside our Service Manager in the leadership and day-to-day management of our established service in Hinckley. Applicants with experience as Care Team Leaders or Senior Support Workers holding an NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) are preferred. However, dedicated Care Assistants or Carers with a solid track record and ambition to progress are encouraged to apply. As a Team Leader, you will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of excellent person-centered care and support, enabling individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
You will be involved in recruiting and developing support workers, conducting staff supervisions, candidate interviews, and providing guidance and expertise. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, the people we support, and outside professionals. Good written communication and IT skills are also required for record-keeping.
