About The Role

Care Team Leader

Bracken House is recruiting a Care Team Leader to work within a busy dementia care home.

Shift patterns: 7am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 10pm, alternate weekends.

Bracken House Residential Home is a 34-bed residential facility located in Burntwood, Staffordshire. As a senior care assistant with Nexxus, you will look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality care while supervising and helping lead a team alongside the registered manager.

Some duties may include:

• Provide leadership to the care staff within the service, and run the shift efficiently
• Complete staff supervisions and spot checks, helping them progress
• Promote independence and encourage appropriate risk-taking
• Understand person-centred care/care plans and demonstrate treating people as individuals and respecting choices
• Complete audits within the home
• Administer medication
• Involve service users, families, external agencies

• Ability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm (e.g., 7am-2.30pm/2.30pm-10pm)
• Desire to provide personal care and support services respecting residents' rights and choices
• Right to work in the UK (proof required, e.g., passport, Visa)
• Successful completion of a DBS check (cost covered by us)
• Provide at least 2 professional references from previous employers
• Attend 3 days of classroom-based induction locally (paid training)
• Complete mandatory e-learning during probation
