Lifeways is seeking a Care Team Leader to work alongside our Service Manager in the leadership and day-to-day management of our established Supported Living Service in Burnley and Clitheroe, East Lancashire. Applicants must hold a full UK Driving Licence as the people we support have their own mobility vehicles.
Experience as a Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with an NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is advantageous. However, dedicated Care Assistants or Carers with a solid track record and ambition to progress are encouraged to apply. Lifeways offers excellent training and ongoing development opportunities.
As a Team Leader, you will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of excellent person-centered care and support to enable individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Your responsibilities include recruiting, supervising, and developing support staff, conducting staff supervisions, candidate interviews, and providing guidance. You should possess excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, the individuals we support, and outside professionals. Good written communication and IT skills are also essential for record keeping.
Our Supported Living services in East Lancashire provide life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or mental health conditions.
