About the Role

This isnt your typical Team Leader position. In this role, you'll take on key responsibilities similar to that of a House Manager, playing a vital part in shaping the daily lives and long-term outcomes of the individuals my client supports.

Youll lead a dedicated staff team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, promoting high standards of care and creating a supportive and person-centred environment for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and ready to step into a leadership role that offers both responsibility and reward.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service to ensure safety, compliance, and a high standard of support.
• Lead and mentor a team of support workers, offering guidance, supervision, and practical assistance when needed.
• Help develop and review individualised care plans in partnership with the wider team and external professionals.
• Deliver hands-on support to residents, including personal care, daily living tasks, and community engagement.
• Monitor the well-being of those in your care, escalating any concerns to senior staff or external professionals.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings and advocate for residents' needs and preferences.
• Maintain clear, accurate records in line with regulatory and internal standards.
• Support with audits, quality checks, and compliance processes as directed by the management team.
• Take the lead on staff inductions, team meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews.
• Foster a caring, proactive, and empowering environment where individuals can thrive.
• Uphold company policies and promote best practice aligned with the adult social care code of conduct.

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience in a residential, supported living, or community care setting (essential).
• A natural leader with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care and support planning.
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering quality care.
• Comfortable supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Relevant health and social care qualifications are desirable (or willingness to work towards them).
• A positive, flexible attitude and a good sense of humour!
