Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

Applicants must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will assist with day-to-day care in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Managing bedpans and helping with toileting
• Maintaining a tidy ward or patient's home
• Keeping supplies and equipment organized

Daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
