Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker will help with the day-to-day care in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under nursing supervision along with other Healthcare Assistants.

• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting needs
• Keeping the ward or patient’s home tidy
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
