Job Role: Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

Ideally, candidates should have some experience in care and be compassionate.

Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will help with the day-to-day care of patients either at home or in a hospital or clinic setting.

Previous experience and qualifications are not essential but preferred.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, dressing
• Serving food or assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Maintaining cleanliness and supplies

You may also use mobility aids and escort patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
