Job summary

Lifeways Weston-Super-Mare is hiring a Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting five individuals with complex health needs. All use wheelchairs; some transfers require hoists.

You’ll provide personal care, medication support, meal assistance, and help people access the community. We offer a mix of full-time and sessional hours, a variety of shifts including days, sleep-ins, and weekends, plus a UK driving licence is essential to support service users out and about.

Qualifications

• Energetic and caring individual with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Driver with full UK licence and willingness to support community activities.

Responsibilities

• Full personal care including pad changes.

• Mix of 14-hour shifts, day shifts, sleep-ins, and weekend work
• A full UK driving licence is essential—you’ll be supporting service users out and about

• Full personal care and pad changes

• Assistance with eating and drinking
• Accessing the community—whether it’s a trip to the shops, a walk in the park, or a swim at the local pool
• Finding new activities and opportunities to enrich lives
