Are you a reliable, compassionate person who wants to help people with care and support needs stay safe and happy in their own homes? Not For Profit is currently recruiting Care Workers for a Home Care Service in Hertfordshire and would love to hear from you.

Position Details

Position: Care Support Worker

Salary: £13 to £17.35 per hour

Job Type: Permanent (Full Time)

Location: Hertfordshire, UK

About the Role

As a Care Support Worker, you will provide support to vulnerable adults with care needs, helping them stay safe and happy in their own homes. You will also give family members a much-needed break, enabling them to continue providing care.

Main Duties
  1. Build strong and supportive relationships with unpaid carers and people with care needs so person-centred care can be provided to meet their identified needs.
  2. Provide personal, social, and domestic care.
  3. Treat everyone with respect and dignity including provision of choice in how their care is delivered.
Qualifications
  1. Good written and verbal communication skills and a calm and caring manner.
  2. No previous experience required; anyone new to care will be enrolled on the Care Certificate with full pay and provided with a full induction.
  3. Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is welcomed but not essential.
  4. Tier 2 sponsorship is available to candidates looking to switch employers.
  5. Flexible part-time hours, particularly for early evening shifts and weekends with enhanced rates.
  6. A variety of duties from short visits to flexible longer care breaks available.
  7. Sick pay and pension after a qualifying period.
  8. Full training and support provided.
  9. Paid Enhanced DBS.
  10. Free uniform.
  11. Annual Leave (based on the hours you work).
