Care Support Worker role available

Support Worker (Driver Essential) | £13.10 per hour + £50 sleep ins

Shift pattern:

Sleep in shift – 9am-10pm (sleep in from 10pm) - 7am-9am

Monday to Thursday - 7.30am-10am - 3.45pm-9pm

Friday to Sunday - 7.30am-9.30pm

Alternative shifts

07.00-21.00

Waking nights 21.00-07.00

As a Lifeways Support Worker, you'll do far more than provide care.

A full driving licence is essential for this role, but not because you'll spend your day driving from appointment to appointment. Driving gives the people we support opportunities.

It means helping someone visit family, get to college, attend a job interview, enjoy a day out, pursue a hobby, go shopping independently or simply spend time in their local community.

Sometimes the smallest things can have the biggest impact. Whether that's somebody ordering a coffee independently for the first time, catching up with friends, or building the confidence to try something new, you'll play a part in making those moments happen.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same, but your role may include:

• Supporting people in their own homes and within their local community
• Encouraging independence and helping people achieve personal goals
• Supporting people to attend appointments, activities and days out
• Building positive and meaningful relationships
• Helping people develop life skills and confidence
• Supporting people to maintain relationships with family and friends
• Providing emotional support and encouragement

Alongside this, you may also provide support with:

• Personal care
• Medication
• Meal preparation
• Household tasks
• Budgeting and daily routines

Great support is about much more than personal care, but personal care may form part of the role depending on the needs of the people you support.

What You'll Need

• A full UK driving licence
