Job summary

Lifeways Southampton is hiring Support Workers for full- and part-time roles, including waking nights. You’ll help people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex health needs to live with independence and dignity.

Locations include SO31/Southampton. We offer flexible shifts (7am–3pm, 3pm–10pm) with alternate weekends and a welcoming, supportive team environment. Training is provided, and there’s a strong emphasis on making a real daily impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or willingness to start in care.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Calm, adaptable and supportive attitude.
• Passion for helping others live independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasks including personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, and medication.”
• Build positive relationships through consistent, compassionate care.
• Support community access activities (swimming, cinema trips, walks, holidays).
• Respond to challenging moments with care and professionalism.
