We’re looking for compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team at Kirkgate House, our Learning & Development home in Bridlington. This is your chance to be part of a supportive environment where you can truly make a difference in people’s lives.

The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Pay & Hours:

  • £12.22 per hour
  • 24 or 36 hours per week
  • Night shift (12 hour shifts)
  • Shift Pattern – Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)

The Role:

Providing ‘exceptional care for the individual’ is at the centre of our ethos, where quality of life is as important as quality of care.

As a Care Support Worker, you will support our services users to maintain their independence by assisting with everyday tasks and activities, in line with their individual needs. Full training is provided so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start your journey with confidence.

We believe that residents should be given the freedom to choose how they live their lives wherever possible. We involve residents, and were appropriate their families, in the development of individual care plans, tailored to the needs of each particular resident.

About us:

Kirkgate House supports up to 28 individuals aged 18 and over with a learning disability and associated care and support needs. Kirkgate compromises of 5 individual living areas each with its own lounge, kitchen and dining areas supporting adults with learning disabilities with long term residential support.

We have a Garden Room which enables people to socialise with their housemates. The home has 2 apartments for people requiring minimal support yet still needing the feeling of security and support a care home can offer..

The HICA Group are a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
