Qualifications

• At least 6 months paid experience in a support worker or care role.
• Excellent communication skills with tact, empathy and sensitivity.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
• A flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards independent living.
• Completing strengths and needs assessments alongside clients to identify their goals, aspirations, and the support required to achieve them.
• Encouraging and motivating clients to engage in meaningful daytime activities, including skills development, training, volunteering, employment, and healthy lifestyle activities.
• Providing person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
• Building positive relationships with clients and working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
