Qualifications

• At least 6 months paid experience in a support worker or care role.
• Excellent communication skills with tact, empathy, and sensitivity.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
• A flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients to develop skills and confidence for independent living.
• Completing strengths and needs assessments with clients to identify goals and required support.
• Encouraging clients to engage in daytime activities, including training, volunteering, employment and healthy lifestyle activities.
• Providing person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity and well-being.
• Building positive relationships with clients and collaborating with colleagues and partner agencies.
