Care Support Worker – Cath Lab | KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

30 Hours per week, 10-month FTC | Competitive Salary in line with AfC

We are looking for a Care Support Worker to join our Cardiac Cath Lab on a 10-month fixed-term contract (covering maternity leave). This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week with flexible shifts (8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm on a rotational basis).

What You'll Do:

  • Support nursing staff in patient pre-assessment, admissions, and recovery for interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Assist in Outpatient Cardiology, including Bloods and Stress Echo Clinics.
  • Take vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, and weight for patients’ pre-appointment assessments.
  • Perform procedures like blood sampling, ECGs, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality while treating patients with respect and dignity.

What We’re Looking For:

We need a patient-focused Care Support Worker with an innate desire to help others and a keen interest in cardiac care. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, if you have the passion and the right attitude, we’ll help you develop the skills and knowledge needed!

  • Hold a Care Certificate qualification or minimum Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
  • A caring and compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in providing outstanding care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in healthcare, including blood sampling or ECGs, is a bonus. Don’t worry if you lack experience—full training will be provided!
