Charles Harper House is a warm, welcoming supported housing service with eight self-contained flats, a communal space, and a beautiful garden. Our team is trained in British Sign Language (BSL), and we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for inclusive communication and person-centred care.

What you’ll do
  • Support people with kindness, compassion, and respect in all aspects of daily living
  • Help individuals pursue hobbies, build relationships, and stay connected to their communities
  • Assist with personal care, health needs, and household tasks
  • Be a determined advocate—protecting rights, promoting independence, and celebrating individuality
  • Work flexibly across a 24/7 rota, including waking nights and sleep-ins
What you’ll need
  • BSL Level 2 qualification – this is essential
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (paid or voluntary)
  • A kind heart, a sense of humour, and a resilient spirit
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • A willingness to work flexibly and stick with people through life’s ups and downs
