Care Support Worker

Location:Chester Health Park, Liverpool Rd, Chester Ch2 1Bq, United Kingdom, Chester CH2 1BQ

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours

Salary: £11 - £22 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Providing personal care and support to individuals in a healthcare setting
  • Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Offering emotional support and companionship to individuals in need

Required Qualifications:

  • CSW should not be on sponsorship or on student visa
  • No Tier 2 VISA/Tier 4 Student VISA
  • Valid DBS check
  • Previous experience in a similar care support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Additional certifications in health and social care are desirable

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a care support role
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to potentially challenging and emotional situations
  • Physical tasks such as lifting and assisting patients
