Overview

We are looking to hire multiple Care Support Workers to join our growing organisation. The ideal candidate will be friendly and empathetic, with a positive attitude. Ideally, they will have some experience in working with individuals with challenging and complex needs and disabilities. A day in this varied role could include providing support with eating and drinking; administering medication; providing personal care; and liaising with external agencies, such as parents/carers and care providers. We have a variety of residential services including Independent Living, Short Breaks and FE Residential, and you will work across all of them. Our residential areas are based on a woodland campus in the heart of Sherwood Forest, close to Mansfield which includes a fully accessible climbing wall and zip wire that many of our learners and citizens enjoy using.

As this role involves regulated activity with our learners, we will be required to carry out a full enhanced DBS check with child and adult barred lists.

Qualifications
  • Essential
    • Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification.
    • Meds and PEGs trained and qualified or able to complete qualification within the first six months of role.
  • Desirable
    • Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English.
    • Be responsible for and actively engage in own personal development.
Working Hours

35 hours worked over Monday – Sunday. Rotating shift pattern with 7 days on / 3 or 4 days off. Shifts cover either 6:45am - 2:45pm or 2:30pm – 10:30pm.
