This is a FTC - 6 Months Mat leave cover - August 2025 to February 2026

This Role:

This is a Team Leader based role based in Tooting, South West London. You will join our dedicated team providing support to vulnerable adults living independently within their own flats. You will be responsible for supporting individuals to live as independently as possible, engaging within their local community. You will also be responsible for leading and managing a small team, ensuring excellent person-centred support, good quality assurance and compliance, adherence to MTVH policies and procedures amongst other tasks set by the Operations Manager.

We are looking for you to be resilient, motivated and have an attitude towards continued learning and development. This is an opportunity for support workers seeking career progression.

The service supports 7 customers, each with a unique learning disability and individual support needs. The focus is on maintaining independent living and social inclusion.

You will work flexibly over a Monday to Sunday rota, including bank holidays, with shift patterns. There are no sleep-in or waking night duties at present.

About You:
  • Excellent communication, writing, and reporting skills.
  • Effective staff management and leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with learning disabilities, autism, Asperger's syndrome, mental health issues, or complex needs.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and implementing support plans and risk assessments.
  • Risk management experience.
  • Strong IT skills, as records are maintained on a central IT system.
  • Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Monitor customer progress and provide detailed handovers to managers.
  • Contribute to service audits and checks.
  • Willingness to work with individuals presenting challenging behaviors.
  • Problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to build mutually beneficial joint-working relationships with support networks.
