We are looking for compassionate Care & Support Assistants to join our team at the newly refurbished Glenalina Lodge. We have both Days and Nights roles available. Following a £4 million investment, Glenalina Lodge offers a modern, state-of-the-art care home for residents. As a Care & Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents are supported in all aspects their daily lives. Working as part of a team, you will provide our residents with the highest standard of care and safeguard them from harm. Graeme Beatty, Manager at Glenalina Lodge About Glenalina Lodge Situated in West Belfast, Glenalina Lodge provides a modern care and support facility for some of the citys older residents. As well as residential care, Glenalina Lodge also offers families a respite service. Glenalina Lodge aims to provide a relaxing and friendly atmosphere where residents can feel secure and well cared for. Person-centred care and support is provided to all residents, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle through social activities and maintaining links with the local community. What do you need to apply? To apply for the role of Care & Support Assistant, candidates are asked to detail how they meet the below criteria: Ability to read, write and communicate in English, as evidenced by a relevant qualification, or experience of demonstrating literacy in English in an education or work environment. Basic numeracy skills, as evidenced by relevant qualification or use of numeracy in a education or work environment. Experience of working as part of a team. Willingness to undertake training for the role. Willingness to register with NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) as a requirement of the role. Hours:We have both full and part-time opportunities available. The shift patterns for these roles are: Days: 8:00am to 8:00pm (12 hours) Nights: 8:00pm to 8:00am (12 hours) Salary:£12.61 per hour (Days) and £12.93 per hour (Nights) In addition, we will provide you with the training and support needed to excel in your role, along with development potential. We also offer a range of other benefits to employees including a contributory pension scheme, a health cash plan which can provide help with dental, optician and medical costs (including cover for dependent children in full time education up to 18 years of age), free employee health checks and a Cycle to Work scheme.
