West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Night Care & Support Assistant to help residents gain independence and confidence. You will assist with personal care, hydration and social activities, with clear documentation and reporting to the Shift Leader or Nurse on duty.
Role offers full hands‑on training with certifications; induction and Buddy scheme are provided. 20–30 hours weekly with some weekends. DBS required and sponsorship not available.

As a Night Care & Support Assistant, you’ll support people to gain their independence, helping them to regain confidence to reach their goals and retain skills. You will support individuals to make choices around their personal care and needs, encouraging good nutrition and hydration and prompt socialisation and engagement in activities. Ensurethat clear and accurate documentation is completed, and any concerns are reported to the Shift Leader or Nurse on duty.
20 - 30 hours per week, with some weekend working.
Week 1: x2, 10-hour night shifts
Week 2: x3, 10-hour night shifts
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We cannot accept individuals on full-time sponsorship who are seeking this as a second job or as their main job, as care is no longer classified as a Skilled Worker occupation.
As we offer full hands‑on trainingwith relevant certifications,you don't have to have experience. BUT you do need to have the want and will to make individualsfeel seen and cared for.
At minimum we offer2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddyscheme" too. We will settle you in, gradually.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
