Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a Night Support Worker for Christian Head Residential Home in Kirkby Stephen. You will work 21.37 hours per week, supporting adults with care needs during night shifts, administering medication, and maintaining resident safety.

Hourly Rate: £13.69 - £13.90 per hour (£14.43p including supplement - after 6 months)

A market supplement of £0.53p per hour is currently being applied to this role and will be payable once you have been in post for 6 months.The Market Supplement will be applied to both your basic salary and to anyadditionalhours, uplifting the hourly rate to £14.43 per hour.

We have opportunities for caring and compassionate people to join our team at Christian Head, providing support and care within Residential Care Services

Christian Head provides a safe, caring and home-from-home environment for up to 28 residents with complex health care needs. Situated close to all facilities in the market town of Kirkby Stephen, we offer respite and residential care for those who are elderly, frail or have dementia.

As a Night Support Worker, you will support our residents between 9:45pm and 7:30am. During this time, you will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies and assisting our Service Users with any of their needs.

It is a challenging role, with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for someone who has good responses, the ability to adapt and can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.

Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve working over 7 days, 365 day a year – this will include alternate weekends (as part of a set rota) and Bank Holidays.
