Job description

We are recruiting for a Care Support Assistant to support a client with an acquired brain injury.

The hours of support are 23.5 hours per week, and the rate of pay is £12.75 per hour.

Main duties of the job
  • Support to meet the following outcomes:
  • For the client to live in a well-maintained, clean, safe & habitable environment.
  • The client requires support with domestic tasks and prompting to ensure clothing, bedding, etc., are washed regularly.
  • The client requires support to access the local community and engage in activities of her choice. She suffers from anxieties when accessing the community alone due to a road traffic accident.
  • The client requires support with weekly food shopping, budgeting, and meal planning to maintain a healthy, nutritious diet.
  • The client requires support with making appointments, liaising with professionals, and collecting weekly prescriptions.

Your responsibilities as our Care Support Assistant include:

Supporting vulnerable clients to live as independently as possible, providing companionship, assisting with housework, errands, and meal preparation. Administering medication may also be required.

Skills and experience required:

Good communication skills, a desire to care for others, and a full UK driving license are advantageous. Previous experience in care is preferred.
