We are looking for a Care Support Assistant to join our team to support a client based in Colne.

Full training will be given to set you on your path to being a Care Support Assistant, where you will be paid a competitive rate of pay after completion of training. We offer you time to do the training before you start whilst we carry out our recruitment processes.

This job involves waking nights with the opportunity for some day shifts and attracts a competitive rate of pay of £14.75 per hour (after completion of training).

This is a complex care role and you will be working on a 2:1 basis. This is a part-time role and you must be able to work at least 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Full assistance with all aspects of daily living – includes personal care, meal preparation, eating & drinking, maintaining the home environment, maintaining safety, social activities both in & out the house, toileting, high sensory needs which includes the need for a bath several times per day, time in sensory room, and other complex interventions.
  • Assisting and supporting vulnerable clients to enable them to live the life they choose (where possible) to promote their independence. Your role will include companionship, supporting with housework, running errands and supporting with preparing and cooking meals. Administering medication may be required.
Skills and Experience
  • You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others. Possessing a UK full driving license and having some previous experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with someone with learning disabilities & challenging behaviour will be an advantage.
