Job summary

Caring @ Home is offering a Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship in Swindon. You will gain hands-on experience supporting adults with daily needs while earning and learning. The role includes travelling to multiple homes delivering person-centred care.

The programme lasts 13 months with 30 hours per week and shifts including evenings and weekends. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
• GCSEs in English and Maths desirable.
• Pre-employment checks will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Visiting multiple homes delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and/or supported living settings.
• Support with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, meals and hydration.
• Provide medication support where trained, competent and authorised.
• Encourage independence, wellbeing and participation in social and community activities.
• Observe and report changes in individuals health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and Caring@Home Ltd policies and procedures.
• Comply with safeguarding, health and safety and infection control requirements.
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.

Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary:£8.00 an hour,Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
• Working Week: Shifts TBC (will include evenings and weekends)
• Hours:30 hours per week
• Duration:13 months
• Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
• Location:Nexus Business Centre, 6 Darby Close, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2PN

As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will:

Specific Requirement:

You will need to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to different homes to provide care. If you do not own a vehicle or have a full licence, we won't be able to accept your application.
