Job description

Due to continual growth of the business, our client are looking for a Field Care Supervisor to provide permanent support to the operation. The purpose of the Field Care Supervisor is to support management to deliver the most effective training and supervision to it's Field based care staff and to implement and manage the provision of quality care to Service Users within the field.

This role would suit an experienced carer with supervisory experience looking to develop into a Care Supervisor, or an existing Care Supervisor who is interested in long term career progression into Care management roles.

Main Duties:

- To support the management team and take responsibility for the smooth running of the care service in the field, and to ensure quality of care and service user satisfaction.

- To report all events that occur in the field with the service users that we look after to the Quality and Service manager immediately and ensure these are duly actioned.

- To be responsible for implementing all quality assurance checks by one to one visits to service users, attending reviews and assessments, as well as representing the company in all meetings with the local authorities to whom we are commissioned.

- To undertake assessments for new packages within 48 hour, first QA after two weeks, and re-assessments at 6-monthly intervals for double-handed service users, and annually, or as required, for all other service users.

- To write care plans and risk assessments for service users, supporting the delivery of effective person centred care.

- To monitor the effectiveness of our care workers in the field through various types of spot checks, at least quarterly, though ensuring greater frequency of checks where medication is being administered.

- To ensure good relations are maintained in between all company staff and its clients.

- To be responsible for providing the data needed from the field in order to submit key KPI's.

Skills / Experience Required:

- Experience of working in a Elderly Care / Domiciliary Care setting

- Nvq Level 3 or above preferred (Not Essential)

- Full UK/EU Driving licence and own transport

- Experience of writing care plans and risk assessments

- Evidence of having worked as a senior carer/supervisor/manager within a care setting

- A good working knowledge of care standards in domiciliary care

- A good working knowledge of health & safety issues

- Willingness to travel across homes within the London Borough of Hillingdon
