About you
  • You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
  • You will want to work in the Health and Social Care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Keen to take on responsibility for managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams.
  • Able to coordinate and facilitate activities that strengthen the community spirit within the development.
  • Driven to continually grow their skills, lead by example, and think on their feet.
  • Able to make a positive difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.

Location and Details

McCarthy Stone is recruiting a Care Supervisor for our prestigious Ellisfields Court in Taunton, Somerset. Built in 2014, this Retirement Living Plus development features 58 apartments designed for those over 70, with excellent on-site facilities set within beautiful grounds.

Hourly rate: £14.51 for day shifts and £12.24 for sleeping night shifts. An additional £1 per hour is paid for hours worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. The total hours per week are 32.87, including day and sleeping night shifts.

Day shifts vary between 08:45-16:30 and 16:15-09:30. Night shifts run from 21:30 to 09:00, with sleep-in duties between 23:00 and 07:00, providing emergency support to residents during that period.
