Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Hertford is seeking a Care Supervisor to lead a small team of care assistants in our luxury care and nursing home. You’ll organise, mentor and review staff performance, ensuring high-quality resident care and adherence to plans.

You’ll monitor daily progress, maintain accurate records, and occasionally perform care duties while staying calm and proactive in emergencies. NVQ3 in Health & Social Care and a meds qualification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide a small team of care assistants, organising the team and leading by example.
• Develop team through regular supervisions, one to ones and annual performance reviews.
• Monitor and review residents' care plans and ensure adherence by all staff.
• Ensure residents’ daily progress is recorded and reported accurately.
• Perform care assistant duties with residents as required and lead in emergencies.

Job Introduction

Your Role at Signature

As a Care Supervisor, you’ll be supporting and guiding a small team of care assistants, organising the team and leading by example. You’ll help them develop through regular supervisions, one to ones and annual performance reviews.

You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing residents care plans, ensuring they are adhered to by all team members. You’ll ensure residents’ daily progress is recorded and reported accurately. You’ll also be performing care assistant duties with residents as required.

You will keep a cool head and take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.
