Job summary

CareTech’s Oakleaf Group in Northampton is hiring a Painter for a 37.5 hour week. You will prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and coordinate with trades to deliver high-quality painting projects. Prior commercial painting experience and strong time management are essential; a valid UK driver’s license is required.

Training on site equipment will be provided. The role is based at Hilltop House, Hartwell, Northampton, within an established multi-disciplinary care setting focused on rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Previous commercial painting experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
• Valid UK driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including sanding, scraping, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.
• Paint outdoor surfaces, stains, and finishes to achieve desired colours/ textures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and clean work areas after projects.
• Coordinate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
