Job summary

CareTech Group is seeking a full-time Painter to join our Oakleaf Group team in Northampton, offering 37.5 hours per week at £13.91 per hour. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and coordinating with other trades, with training on site equipment provided.

Applicants should have previous commercial painting experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills. A valid UK driving license is preferred and on-site work is required at Hilltop House, Hartwell.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial painting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
• Valid UK driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including sanding, scraping, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors and trim.
• Apply outdoor paints, stains and finishes to achieve desired colours and textures.
• Maintain tools and equipment and clean work areas after projects.
• Coordinate and communicate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
