Qualifications

• Commercial underwriting experience within the care/ social welfare sector.
• Experience working with brokers to develop accounts.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Proven track record of generating new business.

• Strong negotiation and trading skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow market presence by building relationships with brokers across your territory.
• Identify and win new business opportunities and increase awareness of Markel's proposition in care.
• Represent Markel at broker meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
• Underwrite and negotiate new business risks within authority.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities and drive portfolio growth.
• Collaborate with underwriting, distribution and operational teams and share market insights.
