Care Assistant Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live independently and comfortably within their own homes. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly, and caring to make a difference in our clients' lives. This is a full-time or part-time vacancy working between 7am - 10pm, including alternate weekends, visiting clients in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge.

You will visit the same regular clients each week to build meaningful relationships. When you have an initial call with a new client, you will be introduced to them by a colleague who knows them well, allowing you to understand their needs better.

At Home Instead, we believe that 15 or 30-minute calls are not sufficient for providing exceptional care. Therefore, we have minimum 1-hour visits to ensure you can spend quality time with your clients.

Please note, to be eligible to apply, you must live within the East Cheshire region.

Responsibilities

• Foster companionship and provide emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Support with making meals and keeping the home clean and tidy.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as getting dressed, while maintaining their dignity.

Requirements

• No experience required; comprehensive in-house training is provided. Previous care experience, professional or personal, is an advantage.
• You must be reliable and punctual to ensure dependable service.
• A caring, friendly disposition is essential to build lasting relationships.
• Must have a valid driving license and your own dependable transport.
• UK residency is required; we cannot provide working visas.
• Flexible working hours, including alternate weekends.
• Must live in or near Wilmslow/Alderley Edge; nearby areas include Macclesfield, Handforth, Wythenshawe.
