Job summary

Lifeways Group is seeking a Deputy Manager to join two residential homes supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities. You will work with the Registered Manager and leadership team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.

Lead teams, drive quality and compliance, support recruitment and governance, and step in during the Registered Manager’s absence to ensure continuity and a positive, compassionate workplace.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health & Social Care required; Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in operational and people management in health & social care.
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Good understanding of CQC standards and quality care delivery.
• Valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.
• Passion for quality care and leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day running of both services.
• Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Help ensure safe, compassionate and empowering care.
• Support quality governance processes and continuous improvement.
• Assist with audits, care planning, safeguarding and compliance activities.
• Build positive relationships with families, professionals and the wider community.
• Support recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management.
• Create a positive culture where staff feel valued and the people supported flourish.
• Step up and take responsibility in the Registered Manager’s absence.
