Job summary

Radfield Home Care is seeking a Deputy Care Manager in Shrewsbury to support the Registered Care Manager in day-to-day running of domiciliary and live-in services. You will ensure safe, person-centred care, maintain regulatory compliance, and supervise staff while managing care plans and documentation.

The role requires strong leadership, organisation, and communication, with involvement in rostering, invoicing, and on-call responsibilities. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in domiciliary and/or live-in care.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience in staff supervision and care planning.
• Knowledge of CQC standards and care regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Competent using care management software and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff rotas to ensure safe staffing levels and continuity of care.
• Coordinate and oversee live-in care packages, including matching carers to clients and managing package changes.
• Respond to emergencies, staffing issues, and operational challenges promptly.
• Prepare and process client and staff invoices accurately and on time.
