In this pivotal role, youll provide day-to-day leadership, shape operational excellence, and support a dedicated team at the heart of patient interaction. Main duties of the job

In this leadership role, youll oversee and support the day-to-day running of the reception team, ensuring smooth and efficient patient access to care. Youll manage team rotas, training, and performance, while working closely with the wider practice management team to maintain high service standards. This role combines hands-on problem-solving, team coordination, and patient interaction, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment and enjoys leading by example.

Job responsibilities

The Care Navigator Leadplays a key leadership role within the reception team at Watton Medical Practice. Responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, this role ensures patients receive an efficient and professional service from their first point of contact. The post-holder manages rotas, supports staff training and development, leads appraisals, and acts as the main point of contact for the reception team. Working closely with practice management, they help maintain service standards, develop protocols, and contribute to wider operational goals such as capacity planning, complaint handling, and quality improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong communication, organisation, and team leadership skills
