Job description

Longrove Surgery is looking for a Care Navigator to join the team. The applicant must have experience working with the NHS, possess good computer skills, and offer excellent customer service.

Our Care Navigators are key contributors in supporting the smooth running of the practice by providing internal administrative support necessary for the practice team to meet the needs of and care for our patients. This role provides an accessible, safe, and effective line of communication for patients. The purpose of this supporting role is to ensure that our patients receive an all-around excellent experience.

Main duties of the job

The main duties include providing a high level of care navigation and reception service to patients, signposting to in-house clinicians and other members of the Practice Team as well as external services, booking appointments with a holistic approach, dealing with queries, and handling general administrative duties.

About us

We are a friendly, supportive training practice in North London with approximately 17,300 patients. Our team includes 7 salaried GPs, 5 GP Partners, a Management Partner, nurses, HCAs, and a pharmacist. We are located in a Primary Care Health Centre and are expanding our administration team, which includes GP Assistants, Prescription Clerks, and Medical Secretaries. Our practice is part of a Primary Care Network and actively involved in various schemes and services to provide high-quality care to the local population.

Job responsibilities

The main duties involve providing a high level of care navigation and reception service, signposting, booking appointments, dealing with queries, and administrative duties.

Hours required for this role are Monday to Friday. AM shifts start at 8 am, and evening shifts end at 6:30 pm. The successful candidate will work a mix of these shift patterns.
