Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a qualified professional to undertake assessments for older adults and people with disabilities under the Social Work (Scotland) Act and related legislation. The role requires careful budgeting to meet service outcomes and a commitment to quality service delivery.

The post is regulated work with PVG scheme checks and, where applicable, overseas criminal record checks. A minimum of two references is required, including one from the current or most recent employer,

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG Act 2007.
• PVG Scheme checks required; Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if spent 3+ months abroad in last 5 years.
• A minimum of two references, one from current or most recent employer.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments within budgetary criteria to meet outcomes for older adults and those with a physical disability.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the Service and organisation.
• Ensure pre-employment checks including PVG and references are completed before commencement.
