Are you acompassionate and experienced nurseready to lead and coordinatehigh-quality palliative care services for children and young people? Joinour dedicated team atEast Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH) as a CareManager at the Nook hospice.

As a Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of outstanding palliative care services. Working alongside another Care Manager and reporting to the Service Manager, you will lead a team of Team Leaders and care professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and support for children, young people, and their families.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the delivery of care services and manage daily operations.
  • Lead and support Team Leaders and care coordination teams.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and contribute to service development.
  • Manage rotas, on-call arrangements, and resource allocation.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and staff development.
  • Collaborate with external partners and represent EACH at key meetings.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, and safeguarding processes

  • Registered Nurse (Child) or other Registered Nurse qualification with experience of supporting children/ young people
  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree or diploma or other professional training relevant to childrens palliative care.

Experience

  • IT literate using the MS Office package (including regular use of word processing, spreadsheets, E-Mail and PowerPoint).
  • Experience as a band 6 nurse or above
  • Experience of working with children/ young people
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a professional multi-disciplinary team
  • Evidence of leadership skills, motivation and development of people
  • Experience of managing safeguarding issues
  • Evidence of childrens palliative care knowledge underpinned by theory and experience.
  • Experience of providing community care services
Other requirements
  • Current full, valid driving license.
  • Own transport (EACH has a small pool of cars which can be used when available).
  • Evidence of commitment to own continuing professional development
