Cygnet Cedars is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join the team and support daily meal preparation, kitchen duties and service in a 23-bed high dependency care setting. The role is 24 hours per week across three shifts (7:00am–3:00pm) and requires a proactive, professional approach to support service users with dignity and care.

You'll assist with cooking, food hygiene, cleanliness and stock rotation while adhering to COSHH regulations and Cygnet procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably within a care setting.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate and good personal hygiene.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and a proactive team member.
• Polite and professional with a positive attitude at all times.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals
• Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
• Wash utensils, dishes & store properly
• Rotate stock & put away deliveries
• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with standards and regulations
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment per procedures
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
