Job summary

Qualifications

• A catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of catering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the head chef in leading a culinary team delivering nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals within budget.
• Prepare modified diets that follow IDDSI guidance and are appealing.
• Supervise and direct culinary staff as instructed by the head chef.
• Instruct and demonstrate simple food preparation tasks to unqualified staff.
• Apply safe food handling principles to meet high hygiene standards.
• Help kitchen staff understand and follow the Avery food safety management system.
