Salary: Approx. £23,000 per year
Hours: Part-Time – 35 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Includes some weekend work

Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a well-established care group to find a Sous Chef for their 49-bed care home in Lewes, Sussex. The home is known for its person-centred care and friendly, community feel – and they’re looking for a talented chef to help deliver nutritious, home-style meals that residents love.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing fresh, seasonal meals using locally sourced ingredients

Supporting the Head Chef with kitchen operations and meal service

Helping develop and update menus that reflect residents’ dietary needs and preferences

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety

Catering for up to 49 residents daily

Who We’re Looking For:

An experienced chef or cook with strong fresh food knowledge

Someone who understands nutrition and the importance of good food in care

A team player with a calm, organised approach

Knowledge of food safety and allergens (Level 2 or 3 desirable)

Care or contract catering experience is a plus, but not essential
