Due to an internal promotion, Shaw Healthcare is recruiting a proven Home Manager for our 80-bed home with state-of-the-art facilities providing specialist care and nursing services in Poole, Dorset.

This role involves working with the local community, GPs, and professionals to deliver a care offering that enables residents to lead fulfilling lives. Our high-quality nursing and care support focus on the individual, based on our core values of Wellness, Happiness, and Kindness.

Figbury Lodge is a 60-bed care service offering nursing, residential, and dementia beds, plus 20 transitional beds.

Salary: up to £75,000 depending on experience

Objectives:

  • To lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent quality care using authentic leadership and role modeling.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Service, including 24-hour care of Service Users.
  • To manage resources effectively, including financial performance and occupancy rates.
  • To promote independence and choice for Service Users.
  • To ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, including CQC and NMC guidelines.

Leadership:

  • To be an approachable role model, maintaining visibility and consistency in actions and decisions.
  • To set and uphold care standards aligned with Shaw Healthcare’s vision and policies.
  • To ensure thorough and professional candidate selection and onboarding processes.
  • To foster a culture of continuous quality improvement through clinical governance.

General Management:

  • To effectively manage budgets and meet Key Performance Indicators.
  • To ensure statutory and legislative compliance, including health and safety and environmental health.
  • To facilitate Service Users' control over their finances, maintaining accurate records.
  • To embed meaningful activities into the Service culture.
  • Experience managing a similar-sized service and overseeing nursing services is required.
