Deputy Care Manager - Registered Nursing Lead

39,000 per annum

West Midlands

Permanent

37 hours per week

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Deputy Care Manager to oversee and support the Registered Nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Care Manager include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead and empower the nursing team to manage care delivery effectively.
  • Oversee appraisals, supervision, and development plans to support staff training needs.
  • Deputise for the General Manager, including participation in the on-call rota.
  • Support regulatory compliance, including incident reporting and investigations.
  • Collaborate on staffing rotas, ensuring safe, budget-compliant coverage.
  • Ensure person-centred care planning and regular reviews with residents and families.
  • Maintain safe medication management and clinical documentation standards.
  • Monitor and manage clinical supplies within budget.
  • Drive quality assurance and clinical KPIs.
  • Provide nursing shift cover to reduce agency use.

The successful Deputy Care Home Manager will have:

  • Current NMC registration in either RN, RMN, RNLD
  • Knowledge on DOLS, Safeguarding, KPI's and ICB
  • Previous clinical / deputy lead experience within elderly care homes
