Job summary

Coverage Care in Nottingham is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to join our care home team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across the home, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.

With knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, PAT testing and relevant maintenance qualifications, you will conduct regular inspections, store and use equipment safely, and support garden upkeep while encouraging resident involvement where

Qualifications

• Experience in building, property maintenance or general maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Understanding of facilities management and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs throughout the home.
• Conduct routine building inspections and audits, ensuring any required actions are completed.
• Undertake Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on admission and annually.
• Maintain the gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard, encouraging resident involvement where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding requirements.
• Safely store and use equipment, tools, and chemicals.
