Job summary

Barchester Healthcare in Wells is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our care home safe and welcoming. You’ll carry out a range of upkeep tasks to ensure the building and grounds are always at their best.

This role is part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering training and opportunities to develop skills while supporting residents and the team.

Prior maintenance experience is preferred; reliability and a caring attitude are valued in this role and organisation.

Qualifications

• Some experience of property maintenance.
• Reliable and caring nature with residents.
• Willingness to undertake a range of upkeep tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building and grounds to high standards.
• Assist with a variety of maintenance tasks throughout the day.
• Support the team in keeping common areas safe and welcoming.
