Job summary

Ashlynn Grange Care Home in Peterborough is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality catering for residents. You will contribute to dining experiences and assist with meal service, ensuring dietary needs are met and areas are kept clean.

Applicants should have kitchen experience or catering background, with NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene preferred, and strong communication and attention to detail. Microsoft Office skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a kitchen environment or catering background.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene is desirable.
• Reliable with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef to maintain high quality catering and dining experiences.
• Assist with meal service and ensure meals meet residents' dietary requirements.
• Engage with residents in conversation and provide meaningful activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with Food Safety and Health & Safety policies.
